Zusammenfassung

ATCS is seeking a Senior Utility Engineer (Water/Wastewater) to lead design and analysis for water and sewer projects in the Hampton Roads market. The position is based in Virginia Beach with a hybrid work arrangement; local candidates in Newport News are also considered.

You will oversee civil design plans, hydraulic modeling, permitting coordination, site visits, and collaboration with Project Managers and clients, ensuring compliance with codes and municipal requirements while mentoring

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of water/wastewater experience.
• Construction phase experience is desired.
• Virginia PE preferred, may consider other states with plan to obtain VA license within 6 months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
• Experience with water/sewer modeling software is a plus.
• Ability to lead design tasks, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients and permitting agencies.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Prepare civil design plans, profiles, and details and serve as a technical lead for water and wastewater utility projects; perform hydraulic modeling and capacity analysis.
• Support and manage permitting efforts by preparing submittals and coordinating with local and state agencies.
• Conduct site visits to support design development and construction-phase services.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, clients and other disciplines to support project delivery.
• Ensure design work complies with applicable codes, standards, and municipal requirements.
• Assist with proposal development and scope definition for new opportunities.
