Job summary

A leading company in the water industry seeks a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to oversee complex water projects. This role requires strong project management skills and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in water/wastewater engineering and will be expected to cultivate client relationships while mentoring project staff.

Qualifications

  • 15 years of water/wastewater project engineering, including 5 years in project management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York or New Jersey required.
  • Experience with complex water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager - (181648)

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of multidiscipline Water/Wastewater/Water Resources or other water related projects
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule
  • Work with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews
  • Implement QA/QC procedures
  • Execute training for personnel as established by strategic plans
  • Supervise project staff and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 15 years water/wastewater project engineering which must include a minimum of 5 years experience in project management, including complex water/wastewater projects including condition assessments, planning and design of collection systems, distribution systems and/or treatment plant projects.
  • PE in New York or New Jersey
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Candidates who reside locally in the NY/NJ area are preferred.

Required Qualifications
