Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager for our Chicago office. This senior leadership role requires extensive municipal water/wastewater experience, a track record in client development, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

The selected candidate will manage technical delivery while expanding client relationships, pursuing new opportunities, and supporting growth across the Chicago metro and Midwest markets.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering required; 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and business development capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead municipal water/wastewater projects with technical oversight.
• Serve as Project Manager for complex programs, managing scope, schedule and budget.
• Provide input to planning, design and construction phases; perform QA/QC reviews.
• Develop construction cost estimates and budgets; mentor junior engineers.
• Lead business development efforts within the municipal water/wastewater market in Chicago and Midwest.
