Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in the water/wastewater field.
• P.E. in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or Washington DC, or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience preparing reports and design plans for municipal water/wastewater systems in VA.
• Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines.
• Experience interfacing with clients.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of water/wastewater projects for public utility clients.
• Oversee planning, design, and construction phases while coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
• Contribute to business development and client management activities, including proposals.
• Communicate project expectations clearly to team and client.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff.
• Apply earned value management to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Engage in seminars and associations to expand knowledge and network.
