Job summary

H2M architects + engineers seeks a Senior Project Water/Wastewater Engineer with 8–15 years of experience to lead and execute municipal water and wastewater projects in collaboration with in-house and external teams. The role focuses on planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction, with strong emphasis on project leadership and client coordination.

The ideal candidate possesses a PE license (NJ/NY reciprocity preferred) and a proven track record delivering multi‑discipline

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of progressive experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in NJ/NY or ability to gain reciprocity.
• Experience delivering multi‑discipline infrastructure projects and navigating NYSDOH/NJDEP permitting processes.
• Experience working on both public and private water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large infrastructure projects from inception through planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and delivery to meet performance goals.
• Coordinate internal and external teams for design, drafting, and project execution.
• Prepare and manage cost estimates, schedules, and design tasks for on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Engage with municipal, industrial, and private clients to support project development and relationships.
