Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to join our water team, driving design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure from planning through construction. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage scheduling and budgets, and mentor junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project leadership.
• BS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and driver's license.
• Experience with permitting, construction, and bid packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
• Provide design execution and oversight including schematic, design development, specifications, permitting, bid-phase services, and construction contract document production.
• Direct and manage project teams and mentor junior staff.
• Develop schedules and budgets; ensure client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
• Travel within Allegheny County (10–15%) and occasional travel to the Mid-Atlantic and adjacent states.
