Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Process Mechanical Design Engineer for our California Water Business. You will lead mechanical design, process integration, and equipment sizing for treatment facilities and pumping stations, delivering robust construction documents and specs.

You will collaborate across disciplines, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to business development efforts and high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 8 years of relevant experience in process mechanical engineering for water and wastewater facilities.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of California.
• Preferred: Mechanical or Civil P.E.; 12+ years of experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and process integration for water/wastewater facilities.
• Develop construction documents and specifications for pumps, valves, and mechanical components.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines to ensure integrated designs and budgets.
• Support proposals and mentor junior engineers; contribute to quality control reviews.
