Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead water, wastewater, and reuse planning initiatives across the region. You will manage hydraulic modeling and guide multidisciplinary teams while serving as the main contact for municipal and county utility clients.

The role emphasizes strong project management, client relationships, and mentoring junior engineers, with a focus on delivering schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in water/wastewater engineering or utility planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline.
• Active PE license or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling and utility master planning.
• Strong project management and client relationship skills.
• Experience working with municipal or county utility clients.
• GIS integration and proposal support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead water, wastewater, and reuse planning projects from initial planning through delivery.
• Manage hydraulic modeling and technical planning across multidisciplinary teams.
• Act as main contact for municipal and county utility clients.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, and project discussions.
• Coordinate planning, design, and infrastructure teams throughout delivery.
• Support proposals, RFQs, RFPs, and client development activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
