Job summary

Black & Veatch offers an opportunity for a Water/Wastewater Lead Estimator (MCACES) in a hybrid work setting. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for municipal, government, and private clients across water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, heavy civil work, dams, and marine projects.

The role requires strong leadership in estimating teams, cross‑functional collaboration with design, procurement, and field staff, and the ability to deliver accurate, competitive lump-sum bids for

Qualifications

• 8 to 20 years of relevant experience, including estimating experience.
• Field and/or project experience.
• Ability to manage complex estimates and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Retains primary accountability for estimate compliance for each project.
• Prepares complete and accurate cost estimates.
• Performs quantity takeoffs and assigns crews and productivity for each discipline.
• Coordinates with design, operation and procurement teams on project status and deadlines.
• Leads, mentors and develops junior estimators.
• Supports continuous improvement in estimating techniques and processes.
