Job summary

Town of Blacksburg's Department of Engineering & GIS is seeking a Water & Wastewater Engineer to oversee improvements to the town's water and wastewater infrastructure, ensure reliable service, and plan expansions aligned with the comprehensive plan.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering & GIS and collaborates with Public Works to maintain safe delivery and regulatory compliance in accordance with environmental standards and development needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with water and wastewater distribution systems.
• PE License considered for Engineer II (alternative track).

Responsibilities

• Oversee improvements to the town's water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Provide reliable service to residents and ensure regulatroy compliance.
• Plan future system expansions in line with the town's comprehensive plan.

Education
