Job summary

HIGHFILL is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Professional Engineer and Project Manager in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, and environmental compliance.

The position is in-office with occasional remote work. The candidate will perform hydraulic design, modeling, client communications, and construction documentation while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Construction, or Environmental Engineering.
• 5-15 years of engineering experience.
• P.E. license in the state of hire or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop water, wastewater, and civil engineering projects including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Lead hydraulic design and modeling efforts; coordinate with clients and prepare construction documents.
• Coordinate permits, field data collection, and construction observation/administration.
