Job summary

Brown and Caldwell’s Irvine office seeks a Senior Civil Engineer with 10–15 years of experience to lead water/wastewater design and conveyance projects, and provide construction support.

You will work on 3D multi-discipline designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D, collaborating with structural, mechanical, process, and electrical engineers to deliver municipal, industrial, and federal projects. This role offers a collaborative culture and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of civil engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with multi-state ability preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with water/wastewater and conveyance projects.
• Ability to lead civil-site design and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil designs and create plans, specifications, and reports.
• Lead quality assurance and quality control efforts for deliverables.
• Mentor staff and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.
• Support business development and proposal activities.
• Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical, process, and other engineers.
• Perform field observations during construction and site visits.
