Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks a highly skilled Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead and manage water/wastewater projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations. The role also involves business development, client relationship management, and regional practice growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead marketing to develop new client relationships and expand our presence in Florida's water/wastewater market.
• Manage, plan, and oversee design for water/wastewater projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, control work-in-progress, and ensure accurate billing.
• Manage project delivery to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Participate in all project construction phases, including pre-bid, evaluation, contracting, and oversight.
• Engage in pre-project meetings, client presentations, and interviews to secure new projects.
• Lead project planning from procurement through closeout, ensuring efficient execution and goal achievement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or related field.
• PE registration in Florida.
• At least 15 years of relevant water/wastewater engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Florida water/wastewater standards and procedures.
• Proven success in managing complex projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
• Leadership skills with mentoring experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience with water/wastewater design software.
• Active involvement in professional water/wastewater organizations.
