Stantec Water and Wastewater Project Technical Lead

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership for wastewater projects, managing existing client relationships and developing new ones.
  2. Supervise the work of engineers, setting priorities, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with Project Managers.
  3. Lead technical preparation and coordination of process design, detailed design, specifications, and construction documents, including technical documentation from equipment suppliers/vendors.
  4. Support complex projects and serve as a technical resource for team members.
  5. Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and funding bodies to determine project requirements and obtain approvals.
  6. Stay current on regulatory policies and establish relationships with officials.
  7. Support marketing and business development by contributing to proposals, participating in client interviews, and supporting contract negotiations.
  8. Assist Project Managers with project issues involving clients, contractors, suppliers, or reviewing agencies.
  9. Participate in professional organizations, contribute to technical papers, and deliver presentations at conferences.
Capabilities and Credentials
  • Experience in organizing, planning, and executing project delivery involving internal teams, subconsultants, and vendors.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions and solve complex problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for team building and collaboration.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry, with at least 1 year of project management or coordination experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
Work Environment

Typical office environment with computer work; fieldwork may involve exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.

Additional Information
  • Salary Range: $133,300 - $200,000, depending on education, experience, and location.
  • Note: Certain roles may be bonus eligible.
