Job summary

CPL in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior Engineering Designer for Water & Wastewater to design, plan and deliver municipal infrastructure projects. You’ll prepare documents for WTPs, WWTPs, water distribution and related systems, coordinating with electrical, mechanical, environmental, and architectural teams to ensure fully coordinated solutions.

The role emphasizes independent project work, mentorship of junior staff, and ongoing professional development within a collaborative firm.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 4+ years municipal civil design experience preferred, water/wastewater.
• EIT certification or FE exam completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design models, plans, specs and construction documents using Civil 3D for municipal infra projects.
• Develop plans for water/WTPs, WWTPs, distribution systems and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated construction documents.
• Review deliverables for quality and compliance with standards.
