Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Water/Wastewater Senior Construction Inspector based in Richmond, VA or Fairfax, VA to oversee water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pump stations, pressure and gravity pipelines, and treatment facilities.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience, certifications in water/wastewater construction management, and ability to provide resident project representation and inspection across delivery methods (CMAR, DB, DBB).

Qualifications

• HS diploma or higher; related field preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible related experience.
• Certifications for water and wastewater construction management & inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and contract specs; perform field adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor operations for compliance with plans, terms, and specs.
• Inspect structural, mechanical, electrical, and site improvements; coordinate schedules with prime contractor.
• Advise on violations and recommend adjustments to operations and safety procedures.
• Participate in startup inspections and review plans of operation and schedules.
• Maintain comprehensive project records including diaries, notebooks, as-built plans, and monthly estimates.
