Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED and Virginia Class IV Waterworks Operator's License; Class III must be obtained within 3 years.
• Ability to perform chemical testing and maintain accurate records.
• Must pass pre-employment medical evaluation and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collects water samples and performs required laboratory tests for proper treatment.
• Records operational data and monitors pressures, flow rates and tank levels.
• Assists with plant operation and maintenance, including chemical feed systems.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment, and prepares daily/monthly reports.
• Adheres to safety, regulatory and city policy requirements.
