Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Water Treatment Planning Engineer/Manager to lead water quality and treatment planning projects in Southern California. You will guide long‑term strategy, mentor a team, and collaborate with regional leadership to address regulatory regimes, climate risk, and infrastructure needs.

You will oversee multidisciplinary projects, develop capital plans, and support business development while delivering high‑quality planning analyses and documentation aligned with Arcadis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in water resources planning or related fields.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Lead water quality and treatment planning efforts for regulatory compliance and long‑term resilience.
• Oversee improvements to water and recycled water treatment, operability, and reliability.
• Represent the owner on design and construction, lead basis of design and calculations, and manage start‑up/commissioning requirements.
