Job summary

Raise is seeking a Senior Water Treatment Engineer to join the environmental engineering team. This contract role focuses on troubleshooting, design support, and technology selection for water and wastewater systems across sites worldwide.

The candidate will lead root-cause analyses, optimize treatment processes, and guide early-phase projects while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with global teams. On-site in Spring, TX with some remote time. Long-term opportunities may arise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil or related engineering field.
10+ years in industrial water, wastewater, or produced water treatment.
Hands-on troubleshooting beyond design and commissioning.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and influence decisions across orgs.
Proficiency in Excel and Word for design work.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues in water systems at sites worldwide.
Lead investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions.
Be the go-to technical resource for site operations teams.
Optimize wastewater treatment, ion exchange, membranes, and oil-water separation.
Support boiler feed water and water chemistry programs for utilities.
Guide early-phase capital projects on technology selection.
Provide oversight through design, contractor execution, startup, and optimization.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with global teams.
Travel to North American sites as needed.
