Lehigh County Authority is seeking a Planning Analyst for LCA WaterWorks in Allentown, PA. You will lead long-term system planning, develop treatment concepts, and work with operators and partners to align projects with regional growth and safety goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with municipalities and regulators, translating data into actionable infrastructure investments and ensuring plans stay grounded in real-world operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in water or wastewater engineering within utilities, municipalities, or consulting.
• Experience with system planning, hydraulic modeling, or infrastructure design and interpreting operational data.
• Strong foundation in water/wastewater systems and regulatory contexts (CWA, SDWA, NPDES).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning studies to protect public health and the environment and support regional infrastructure growth.
• Develop and evaluate water/wastewater treatment approaches and future system needs.
• Pilot innovative technologies and plan for water reuse.
• Collaborate with municipalities, regulators, and internal teams to ensure practicality of plans.
• Coordinate transitions from planning through design and construction.
