Job summary

Kurita America, located in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a Senior Designer to support the engineering team with project documentation for process and equipment design. The role emphasizes quality standards throughout execution and serves as a technical resource for customers.

Day shift with hybrid work schedule (40 hours/week, Mon–Fri). Salary range is $80,000–$90,000, travel is not required. You will review customer requirements, develop CAD drawings, and help advance standard product offerings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of water treatment or industrial equipment design experience (e.g., skid or plant piping layout).
• Two year Associate Degree, technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of CAD experience (SolidWorks).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Physical and mental requirements: sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Reviews proposals, estimates, quotes, customer plans and specs to establish project requirements and creates designs and drawings with oversight.
• Collaborates with project team to review customer requirements for equipment size, function and process design.
• Creates Process & Instrumentation Diagrams showing components, hydraulics, chemical feed, electrical, etc.
• Creates General Arrangement Drawings to communicate design details to the project team and customer.
• Creates fabrication/installation/assembly drawings for internal and external teams.
• Ensures equipment conforms to project requirements and standard design.
• Assists Purchasing with supplier qualification and development of new standard offerings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
