Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a senior engineering leader to oversee water reuse, wastewater treatment, and utility infrastructure projects in California. You’ll guide planning, design, and construction while managing clients, teams, and budgets and navigating regulatory requirements and innovative treatment approaches.

The ideal candidate is a PE with 10+ years in engineering consulting and a proven track record delivering large-scale water projects for public agencies and utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of engineering consulting experience.
• Strong background in wastewater treatment, water reuse, or related utility infrastructure.
• Experience managing large and complex engineering projects.
• Knowledge of treatment processes, hydraulic systems, and infrastructure planning.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage major water reuse, wastewater treatment, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Direct project delivery from planning through design and construction support.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, scope, quality, and contractual commitments.
• Make high-level technical decisions and guide complex engineering challenges.
• Coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, and project stakeholders.
• Support strategic pursuits, proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations.
• Develop relationships with municipal agencies, utilities, and infrastructure owners.
• Mentor engineers and technical professionals.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across project teams.
