Job summary

Tetra Tech seeks a Principal Water Resources Manager to lead and grow our water resources, dams, and reservoir practice in Colorado with regional growth support. You will lead client engagements, oversee hydrologic analyses, and guide multidisciplinary teams on complex river and dam projects.

This senior role emphasizes business development, technical leadership, and strategic planning. The position offers hybrid work from Denver, CO, with travel as needed and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of water resources engineering experience with leadership roles.
• Colorado PE license or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Proven success leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex dams/reservoir projects.
• Strong understanding of water resources modeling concepts and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and manage key accounts to convert relationships into repeat work.
• Drive proposal strategy and capture efforts with technical leadership and team assembly.
• Provide program-level direction for water resources and dam projects ensuring technical excellence and on-time delivery.
• Review technical deliverables including planning documents and hydrologic analyses.
• Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets, schedules, and risk.
