Job summary

Sambatek, LLC is seeking a senior water resources engineer to lead design and implementation of water resources solutions for transportation and land development projects. This role focuses on advanced hydraulic and hydrologic design, modeling, and plan development, while setting design standards for technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 6–8 years of water resources design experience.
• Minnesota PE license in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, XP-SWMM, and related tools.
• Experience with MnDOT drainage design procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead water resources components across projects from planning to construction.
• Develop and review hydraulic/hydrologic models and drainage reports.
• Serve as technical lead for MnDOT and municipal projects.
• Prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates for water design elements.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across disciplines.
• Support proposals and project budgeting with PMs.
