Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Austin, TX seeks a Water Resources Engineer/Senior Project Manager to lead design of surface water systems, perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, and guide projects from conception through construction.

You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to permitting, design, and MS4/ NFIP-related work in a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes technical expertise, quality assurance, and growth of the team and business

Qualifications

• BS degree in civil or environmental engineering required.
• Texas PE license required or ability to obtain.
• 10+ years of water resources experience.
• Experience with hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, and dam safety.
• Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS; AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Ability to mentor staff and lead complex design tasks.
• Ability to write technical reports and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced engineering design on complex water resource projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support design.
• Develop plans, specs, cost estimates, calculations, and permit support.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews on projects.
• Mentor, train, and oversee staff.
• Manage water resource projects and pursue client opportunities.
