Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager in HDR’s Water Business Group to lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programs for valued clients across the U.S. You will serve as trusted adviser to clients and mentor internal teams, shaping technical and business approaches in the water sector.

With a PE license and 10 years of related PM experience, you’ll oversee planning, design, and delivery, manage budgets, and cultivate key relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 10 years related experience.
• 5+ years project management experience.
• PE license (PE or P.Eng).
• MS Office and MS Project proficiency.
• Leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of large, multi-disciplinary engineering projects and programs.
• Strategically oversee project execution, balancing scope, schedule, and budget for outcomes.
• Cultivate and expand key client relationships and participate in business development.
• Direct and facilitate project meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Navigate regulatory environments and represent HDR with agencies.
• Guide development of project documentation and engineering reports with clarity.
• Manage project financials including budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with project controllers, leadership, and finance for alignment on goals.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to staff within the team.
• Support firm-wide initiatives and strategic planning across the Water Business Group.
