Job summary

GFT seeks a Senior Project Manager, Water, to lead our Water/Wastewater Team in Southern California. The role offers a hybrid work model with offices in Los Angeles, Irvine, Chino Hills, Ontario, Long Beach, Santa Ana, or San Diego.

You will oversee proposals, design, and client relations for complex water projects, drive budgets and schedules, and mentor other PMs. A CA-PE and 15+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of California.
• 15+ years' experience managing substantial water and wastewater projects from conception to completion.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills.
• Proven record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, budgets, and client agreements.
• Lead design and technical aspects of projects including engineering design, calculations, and reports.
• Write responses to client RFQs and Solicitations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.
• Coordinate and monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules.
• Participate in development of company design and production standards.
• Direct and manage project implementation with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to meet milestones.
• Oversee construction phases to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Support client marketing and business development for project awards.
• Mentor staff and develop other PMs.
