At AtkinsRéalis in Austin, TX, we are seeking a Senior Water Market Leader to drive the water business strategy and prominence in the Greater Austin market.

You will lead multiple water/wastewater projects, negotiate contracts, mentor teams, oversee scopes, schedules and budgets, and build strong client relationships to win and deliver key engagements.

A Texas PE license and 15+ years of relevant experience, with proven writing and communication skills, are required.

• BS or MS in Engineering; MS preferred.
• PE license in Texas required.
• 15+ years of technical experience with local Austin-area familiarity preferred.
• Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects including budgeting and scheduling.
• Excellent technical writing and communication; strong client relations and business development skills.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Water Market Leader to join our team in Austin, TX.

Strategy/Marketing

• Provide water industry‑leading knowledge and prominence to AtkinsRéalis business projects and initiatives.
• Drive strategy for the water business with an emphasis on water infrastructure in the Greater Austin market.
• Develop and manage strategic relationships with key clients.
• Identify and recruit staff critical to the growth and success of the firm.
• Identify and support business development activities and proposal development.

Project Management And Delivery

• Serve as Project Manager for multiple projects. Conduct contract negotiations with clients and sub‑consultants.
• Support clients in formulating innovative solutions to drive project success.
• Function as a subject matter expert and mentor to project teams.
• Provide QA/QC functions and expert advice for complex projects.
• Work with external clients at progress meetings and throughout contract engagements to meet client needs, project schedules, goals, and deadlines.
• Prepare project work plans and develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare or oversee the preparation of final plans and design reports.
• Direct project teams and monitor schedules, financial status of projects, and quality control on projects.

About You

• BS or MS in Engineering. MS or graduate‑level technical coursework preferred.
• PE license in Texas is required.
• At least 15 years of technical experience preferred. Local experience with cities, counties, water authorities and regulatory agencies within the Greater Austin area is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in project management including budget, schedule, and deliverable performance related to water/wastewater infrastructure projects including, but not limited to, treatment plants, distribution/collection system pipelines, green infrastructure, water supply systems, and related infrastructure.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Demonstrated client relationship and business development skills.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $150,000-$235,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
