Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Southwest Florida team, leading technical design and coordination for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the region.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with project managers and clients, and deliver comprehensive design calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure or water/wastewater engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, registered in Florida (or able to obtain licensure within 6 months).
• Proven ability to manage technical aspects of complex projects and mentor staff.
• Strong communication, technical writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform engineering design for water infrastructure and water resource facilities.
• Oversee site investigations and inspections, delivering detailed technical assessments.
• Develop design calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines and with clients, subconsultants, and contractors.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff.
