Job summary

Carollo Engineers is seeking an experienced civil/environmental engineer to lead planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects in the Colorado area. The role emphasizes pipeline, pump stations, and trenchless designs, with oversight of fieldwork and cost estimates.

The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to project success through strong communication and self-starting initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 8–15 years of directly relevant experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and project teams.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an engineer on the planning, design, construction and/or commissioning of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Specialize in challenging projects outside of the treatment plant, including pipelines, pump stations, and trenchless systems.
• Perform conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, fieldwork oversight, and reports.
• Develop civil engineering plans and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
• Assist project manager with budgeting, scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the project team.
