Job summary

ARIZONA WATER COMPANY is seeking a UW III focused on reliable water distribution operations. The role involves communicating with the public and staff, preparing clear reports, map postings and meter routes, and maintaining records for ACC and CAGRD.

On-call duties and overtime may be required in emergencies. The job requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to operate heavy equipment, and a valid Arizona driver’s license with state certifications in water distribution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with vocational training in pipefitting or related crafts.
• Two years' experience in pipefitting or maintenance with some pipefitting.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and read maps and reports.

Responsibilities

• General operation and maintenance of the water distribution system, installation of mains, services, hydrants, and fittings.
• Record changes on maps and records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps and equipment.
• Install/replace service lines and meters; make turn-ons/offs per work orders.
• May operate purification or treatment equipment.
• Handle materials and supplies inventory and related paperwork.
• Perform additional duties including after-hours field service tasks.
