Job summary

Amgen Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician – Utilities (Waste Water Treatment) for a day shift. This role supports the start-up of the FleX Batch facility and operates/maintains wastewater treatment systems to ensure discharge permits are met.

You will monitor SCADA/PLC/HMI systems, perform preventive maintenance, and train operators. A strong background in water treatment and mechanical/electrical maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of water treatment operations or maintenance experience.
• Alternative: 2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on water treatment experience.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment and mechanical maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot wastewater treatment systems for permit compliance.
• Lead wastewater treatment operations, lab testing, process control and maintenance.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on wastewater equipment and systems.
• Maintain logs and compliance documentation; respond to alarms and issues promptly.
