Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Engineer to support municipal and industrial projects in Minnesota and the upper Midwest. The role blends engineering design with client-facing responsibilities, and may include business development tasks depending on experience.

You will mentor junior staff, lead multi-disciplinary teams, plan and oversee design, budgets, scopes, and schedules for wastewater facilities, and ensure safe, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 12 years’ relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing and/or coordinating wastewater treatment projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota or ability to achieve within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engage in client-facing project delivery in the municipal and industrial wastewater market in the Midwest United States.
• Lead planning and design phase efforts for municipal and/or industrial wastewater treatment facilities.
• Oversee construction administration activities including site visits, submittal reviews, and contractor interactions.
• Mentor junior staff and lead multi-disciplinary building services teams.
• Coordinate work across local, regional and national geographies.
