Job summary

PCL Civil Constructors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer Waste/Waterwaste in the Washington, DC area to lead technical and administrative tasks on water and wastewater construction projects.

The role emphasizes budgeting, scheduling, subcontract coordination and cross-functional collaboration to deliver projects on time and within scope. A Civil Engineering degree and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of heavy civil construction experience, with focus on water/wastewater facilities and related infrastructure.
• Experience managing project engineering functions: budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, contract administration, cost control.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, project delivery, and risk management for complex water/wastewater projects.
• Ability to collaborate with owners, engineers and project teams from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage progress, reporting and change management.
• Maintain complex subcontracts and administer scope, inquiries and progress.
• Review subcontractor submittals for scope and design alignment; coordinate with design team.
• Assist with site inspections and witness commissioning of systems.
• Identify potential risks and support mitigation plans; adapt as needed.
• Other duties as required by project leadership.
