Selectek, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Senior Process Mechanical Engineer focused on wastewater treatment and advanced water reclamation. You will lead design from concept to IFC, translating simulations into constructible plant layouts and hydraulic profiles.

You will apply expertise in ASP/BNR systems and advanced membranes (MF/NF/RO) to develop efficient treatment trains. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and business development is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 10–15 years of wastewater treatment and water reclamation facility design experience.
• Experience with process modeling/simulation, preferably BioWin.
• Experience designing ASP/BNR systems (MBR, MBBR, SBR, IFAS, MLE, Oxidation Ditch).
• Experience with MF/UF, NF, RO, AOP.
• Ability to develop PFDs, hydraulic profiles, and P&IDs.
• Past work delivering concept through IFC.
• Familiarity with AWWA, ASME, ANSI, WEF guidelines.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• PE license preferred in CA/AZ/FL/CO.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design development for wastewater and advanced water treatment from concept to IFC deliverables.
• Develop and run process simulations (BioWin or equivalent).
• Perform mass balances and system performance calculations.
• Translate process models into detailed engineering designs (PFDs, P&IDs).
• Size membranes, assess recovery and fouling; design MF/NF/RO/AOP trains.
• Create GA drawings and equipment layouts; size and select equipment.
• Support project milestones, reviews, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls, instrumentation, and other engineers.
• Provide technical mentorship and contribute to standards and proposals.
