Job summary

Resource Renew, the brand of Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD), in Duluth, MN, is seeking a Senior Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for an on-site role. You will monitor, operate and control daily plant and collection system operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship for the district's community.

Strong expertise with SCADA systems, permit limits, safety programs and SOP development is required; MPCA B certificate and boiler license are essential,

Qualifications

• A MPCA Class B Wastewater Operator Certificate is required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Driver's license with Class D or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates the wastewater treatment and collection system using SCADA and related control systems.
• Monitors and adjusts operating parameters to stay within permit limits.
• Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the plant.
• Maintains comprehensive operational records and performs routine inspections.
• Ensures safety and environmental compliance through district safety programs.
