Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Wastewater Engineer to lead and grow its wastewater discipline across NY, NJ, PA and MA. The role combines client leadership with technical oversight on municipal wastewater projects, including treatment, conveyance, and renewals.

The successful candidate will develop trusted relationships with utilities, guide strategic pursuits, and mentor teams while delivering high-quality designs and project delivery from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical or related engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in at least one US jurisdiction, with ability to obtain in NY/NJ/PA/MA.
• Master's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Develop growth strategies for priority wastewater clients and regional accounts.
• Lead proposals, client interviews, and strategic business development.
• Provide technical leadership for wastewater treatment planning and plant upgrades.
• Oversee design criteria, process calculations, and facility layouts.
• Mentor project managers and technical staff; manage scope, schedule, and risk.
