Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a technical leader to oversee the planning, evaluation, and design reviews of complex wastewater treatment and collection system projects. You will collaborate with municipal and private-sector clients to understand objectives, provide expert guidance, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions.

The role leads multidisciplinary teams, mentors engineers, and coordinates work across stakeholders. Travel 20%–40% may be required.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of computer aided design and drafting (CAD) 3D/4D software and practices.
• Expert knowledge of engineer principles of design.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering designs and technical reports.
• Manage project schedules and deliverables.
• Facilitate clear, proactive communication with clients throughout all phases of project execution.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate work across internal and external stakeholders.
