Job summary

Amkor Technology, Inc. Arizona seeks an experienced Senior Facilities Wastewater Engineer to design, commission, and operate our new OSAT site. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage permits, and optimize water treatment while supporting ESG goals.

From design through startup to ongoing operations, you will collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and regulators to deliver reliable systems and sustainable water management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment operations; semiconductor experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of biological, chemical, and physical treatment processes.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and automated monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design, installation, and commissioning of wastewater treatment systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors for reliability and scalability.
• Oversee daily operation of wastewater treatment plants, including monitoring and maintenance.
• Maintain records of water quality, flow rates, and chemical usage.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare reports for permitting.
• Implement improvements to reduce water consumption and improve efficiency.
• Enforce safety protocols for chemical handling and equipment operation.
• Support ESG reporting related to water management.
