K9s For Warriors Inc. is seeking a Warrior Relations Assistant Manager to lead the Warrior Relations team and ensure high-quality experiences for Veteran applicants and Future Warriors.

The role supports program goals, drives operational efficiency, and coordinates cross-functionally with Outreach, Training, and Mental Health teams to maintain program integrity and timely communications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Veterans community and issues serving clients from this community.
• Experience in working with Veteran Service Organizations and the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Ability to work with persons with mental and physical disabilities
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate priorities
• Experience working in customer service field preferred, e.g. customer service associate
• Possess patience to interact with challenging clients
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing individuals, teams, projects, and initiatives
• Demonstrates leadership through ownership of projects, initiatives, or cross-functional work
• Experience dealing with potential crisis situations preferred
• Strong verbal, written, and oral communication skills
• Valid driver's license and meet policy requirements for company auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Assist in onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members; contribute to team development and long-term success
• Support the Warrior Relations Manager in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Serve as backup in the manager's absence to maintain operations
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure clear communication and program alignment
• Act as first point of escalation for complex Warrior issues
• Assist with processing Warrior applications and contacting Future Warriors
• Review files and provide recommendations for approval, conditional, or disapproval
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies; propose improvement ideas to leadership
• Oversee documentation and communication across systems; ensure accuracy
• Support Warrior Training, K9 Training, and marketing teams with information flow
• Assist with scheduling and accommodations for Future Warriors
• Ensure timely and accurate Warrior information is available to relevant teams
• Monitor adherence to processes and timelines; drive process improvements
• Review files after each class graduates before handing to Outreach
• Process Warrior Background Checks and Status Changes
