Job summary

OpenMind Staffing is seeking an experienced warehouse leader for a commercial workplace services client in New York. You will oversee long‑term client inventory and storage operations, lead the warehouse team, and drive process improvements to ensure inventory is accurately tracked, organized, and readily available.

This role requires strong WMS knowledge, a track record of building high‑performing teams, and the ability to coordinate with project, account, and logistics teams to meet client

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or inventory management.
• Strong knowledge of WMS platforms, inventory controls, and warehouse processes.
• Proven ability to develop teams and deliver measurable operational improvements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing complex or varied client inventory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily storage operations, including inventory movement, retrieval, and redeployment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and consistent use of the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Establish clear procedures for labeling, scanning, storage locations, cycle counts, and audits.
• Improve space utilization, productivity, and workflow.
• Lead and develop warehouse staff, setting clear expectations and accountability.
• Coordinate with project management, account management, and logistics teams to meet client needs.
• Track performance, identify recurring issues, and implement lasting improvements.
