Job summary

First Solar Inc. in Gaffney, SC seeks a Lead- Warehouse Operations and Materials USA to supervise a team of shift supervisors, coordinate daily warehouse activities, and ensure inventory accuracy.

You will work to prevent disruptions to manufacturing and customer shipments while upholding safety and procedures. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of supervisory warehouse experience in manufacturing, knowledge of FIFO/Kanban, ERP systems, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant work experience in supervisory warehouse/logistics in manufacturing.
• Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred.
• Experience managing large warehouse teams across multiple shifts.
• Knowledge of FIFO, Kanban, cycle counting concepts.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Word, Excel, Access.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of shift supervisors to meet daily warehouse activities.
• Resolve operational issues and coach team to improve performance.
• Coordinate material inventory and shipments to avoid disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Ensure accuracy of receiving/shipping and inventory variance control.
• Provide SME training and documentation for warehouse focus areas.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and 5S in the warehouse.
• Drive cost control and process improvements in warehouse operations.
