Job summary

SBM Life Science is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler III in Baytown, TX to operate a stand-up reach forklift, load/unload shipments, and manage inventory using Blue Yonder WMS. This role requires experience with RF scanners, ERP/WMS systems, and safe, accurate material handling in high-stacking warehouses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience operating a stand-up reach forklift, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks, and order pickers.
• Forklift trainer certification and active forklift certification (active and valid driver’s license required).
• Experience operating material handling equipment and RF scanners.
• Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems.
• Understanding of proper stacking and storage methods.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver the stand-up reach forklift to lift, move, and place pallets of products in designated high-rack locations within narrow aisles.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks, moving materials from the loading dock to their storage locations and preparing outgoing shipments.
• Use RF scanners and WMS (Blue Yonder) to track inventory, pick orders, and ensure stock is placed in the correct location; move stock between locations.
• Record inventory data, conduct physical cycle counts, and use ERP system to ensure accurate tracking of products.
• Perform daily inspections of the forklift and report maintenance needs; conduct minor maintenance to keep equipment in good condition.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and all safety regulations; assist with training less experienced Material Handlers.
