The Senior Warehouse Manager, Outbound, oversees all fulfillment operations for Bogg’s Wholesale, Specialty, and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels. This role is a key member of the Bogg warehouse team, responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring safety and compliance, and managing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operations Management: Oversee all fulfillment activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping for all outbound channels.
- Inventory Management: Implement best practices in inventory control and record-keeping. Ensure inventory accuracy and timely reporting across enterprise systems.
- Personnel Management: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff. Foster a safe, efficient, and positive work environment. Collaborate with HR and leadership on personnel policies.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Good Warehousing Practices.
- Transportation: Manage outbound transportation to meet company and customer requirements, ensuring timely, cost-effective deliveries. Maintain compliance with all customer routing guides.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in warehouse operations, layout, and workflows to meet or exceed service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Budget Management: Support development and oversight of the warehouse budget, including operational and capital expenditures. Monitor P&L to ensure alignment with budget goals.
- Data & Analytics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive decisions related to service, safety, cost, and productivity.
- Communication & Collaboration: Maintain strong communication with cross-functional teams, transportation providers, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
Leadership:
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and manage high-performing warehouse teams
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role
- Experience managing fulfillment for wholesale, specialty, and/or DTC channels
Operational Expertise
- Deep knowledge of warehouse operations, outbound logistics, inventory control, and fulfillment best practices
- Experience in both company-owned and 3PL environments preferred
Technical Proficiency
- Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Comfortable with data analysis and performance tracking through key performance indicators (KPIs)
Safety & Compliance
- Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, workplace safety, and Good Warehousing Practices
- Commitment to fostering a safe and compliant work environment
Problem Solving & Optimization
- Skilled in identifying operational issues and implementing effective, scalable solutions
- Able to drive process improvements and optimize space and workflows
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in supply chain, operations, or a related field is a plus
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk, climb, stoop, balance, and handle materials for extended periods
Organizational & Communication Skills
- Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and transportation providers
- Experience in both company-owned and 3PL warehouse environments
- Background in process improvement or warehouse layout optimization
- Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field
