Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead receiving and production operations in Illinois. You will direct Operations Managers and Supervisors to meet production, quality and safety goals while optimizing material flow and cost control.

You will plan warehouse resources, oversee stock control, generate regular reports and mentor staff to maintain schedules, budgets and safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Fluent English required, overnight travel possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Distribution Manager. Able to coach and mentor peers and subordinates to drive change.
• 5-7 years of previous experience in distribution, logistics, operations planning and/or facility supervision and management.
• Self-starter with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on change management.
• Computer knowledge including Excel, Word, Outlook is required.
• Able to work flexible hours and travel overnight as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan warehouse resources and activities in relation to company objectives and sets targets.
• Oversee stock control and processing orders.
• Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Responsible for hiring, training, directing and supervising warehouse supervisors in the performance of their assigned duties and achievement of department production, quality and safety goals.
• Ensure production schedules are maintained and customers' needs are met by the effective management of the material flow in the plant.
• Create and meeting annual variable cost budgets for the department managed.
• Control and direct the distribution operations through effective scheduling, budgeting, and human resource management programs.
