C.H. Robinson is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support inbound/outbound cargo movement within our Atlanta warehouse. You will offload/load vehicles, operate forklifts, and ensure accurate paperwork, sorting, and labeling for efficient shipments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Ability to work flexible hours and/or days.
• Spanish language ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods from customers and suppliers, offload and load vehicles, check paperwork and report discrepancies.
• Operate stand-up or sit-down forklifts and hand jacks for palletization and securing cargo.
• Load/unload trailers and containers in a safe, damage-free manner.
• Prepare outbound loads with correct labeling and paperwork; handle ULD prep.
• Sign Bills of Lading accurately and verify counts and damages.
• Maintain flow of materials in the warehouse and stage cargo safely.
• Utilize warehouse booking-in sheets or WMS to ensure organization.
• Assist with picking, packing, inventory reporting and stock checks.
• Site-specific: complete weekly bond checks and Dock-to-Stock procedures.
• Handle bonded import freight according to regulations at ERTS facilities.

POSITION SUMMARY

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence and unparalleled customer satisfaction. In this role, you will support vital operations tasks, ensuring seamless movement of inbound and outbound cargo from trailers or ocean containers within our warehouse. Your dependability, attention to detail, and safety focus will be crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of goods to our customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive goods from customers and suppliers by offloading and loading vehicles, checking paperwork, weighing, measuring, and reporting discrepancies or damages
• Operate stand-up, sit-down forklifts, and hand jacks for palletization, stretch wrapping, and banding of cargo
• Load and unload trailers/ocean containers in a professional and damage-free manner
• Prepare outbound loads by matching paperwork, labeling, and handling Unit Load Device (ULD) preparation
• Sign off Bills of Lading accurately, verifying counts and damages
• Maintain the flow of materials and products in warehouses with varying degrees
• Stage cargo within the warehouse safely and orderly while maintaining standards of cleanliness and organization
• Ensure proper warehouse organization through the use of warehouse booking-in sheets or Warehouse Management System (site specific)
• Handle logistics accounts, picking, packing, inventory reporting/stock checks as needed to achieve quality standards outlined in SOPs or customer requirements, including reworking, or recouping of freight
• Site Specific: Completion of weekly bond checks
• Site Specific: Execute Dock-to-Stock procedures and regulations at all times, maintaining building perimeter security and challenging anything or anyone untoward
• Site Specific: Handle bonded import freight into the External Temporary Storage (ERTS) facility in accordance with regulations and breakdown of inbound ULD’s as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required: Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess good physical stamina and coordination. Could be required to stand and/or walk for long periods daily while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and periodically lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Applicants in a warehouse role must complete a pre-employment drug screen as part of a conditional job offer
• Site Specific: Ability to work flexible hours and/or days
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED
• Previous warehouse / freight forwarder experience
• Familiarity with Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests, Delivery Orders, etc.
• Site Specific: Ability to speak Spanish

Compensation Range

Compensation Range $15.61 - $23.03
