Job summary

SES Corporation is seeking an experienced WAN/LAN SME to lead the engineering, modernization, and secure operation of the enterprise network across WAN, LAN, cloud connectivity, data centers, and remote sites. You will collaborate with cloud, security, and operations teams to implement scalable, high‑performing, and resilient networking solutions based on Cisco technologies.

Qualifications

Eight+ years designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale WAN/LAN environments.
Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
Deep expertise in BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, route redistribution, and policy-based routing.
Experience with Cisco enterprise networking (routers, switches, wireless, security).
Experience with MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, and hybrid networking.
Experience integrating enterprise networks with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SaaS.
WAN capacity planning, traffic engineering, performance analysis, growth forecasting.
DNS, DHCP, IPAM, load balancing, content delivery, and resiliency concepts.
Experience with distributed branch offices and remote facilities.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to teams and executives.

Responsibilities

Design, engineer, and optimize WAN, LAN, campus, branch, remote-site, cloud, and hybrid networks.
Lead WAN modernization, bandwidth expansion, circuit optimization, SD-WAN adoption, performance improvements.
Develop routing architectures using BGP/OSPF/EIGRP and high-availability strategies.
Create scalable connectivity for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SaaS, colocation, and hosted environments.
Ensure secure connectivity between on-premises, cloud, partners, and remote locations.
Support Cisco-based switching, routing, wireless, and network services across sites.
Evaluate utilization, latency, throughput, and application performance; plan capacity.
Architect content delivery, load balancing, DNS, edge networking, and user experience.
Perform network assessments, root-cause analyses, and remediation planning.
Support security through segmentation, zero-trust, monitoring, and secure architectures.
Create runbooks, diagrams, standards, and configuration baselines; mentor teams.
