Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SD-WAN engineering to lead deployment and ongoing optimization of our enterprise WAN infrastructure. The role focuses on Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), vManage, vSmart, and vBond, with emphasis on secure, scalable networks and incident resolution.

The ideal candidate will have deep routing knowledge, PKI awareness, and the ability to document solutions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with planning teams to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Cisco SD-WAN fabric architecture (vManage, vSmart, vBond, WAN Edge)
• Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela)
• Knowledge of routing protocols: OMP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
• Core networking concepts: LAN/WAN, VPN, QoS, security
• IPsec/TLS and firewall configurations
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• PKI components: CA, HSM, CRLs, requests, installation
• Experience with network monitoring tools like TCPDump, Wireshark
• Familiarity with VPNs, IPS and related technologies
• Experience with VXLAN overlays
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, auditing and accreditation processes

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment and sustainment of enterprise Cisco SD-WAN infrastructure
• Deploy, configure, and manage SDN controllers and network components
• Serve as escalation point for complex overlay network issues
• Resolve routing anomalies and analyze traffic flows for uptime
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation and SOPs
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
