Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a network installation professional in Charleston, SC to upgrade WAN equipment and fiber infrastructure at CONUS and OCONUS sites. You will design data center cable layouts, install routers, switches, encryptors, and patch panels, and perform fiber installations in both inside and outside plant environments.

The role requires six+ years in WAN/LAN with CAT5E/6/6A copper, OS2/OM1/OM3/OM4 fiber, and I​​nfo Tech background; travel up to 75% and relocation

Responsibilities

• Upgrading WAN equipment and fiber infrastructure at remote locations CONUS and OCONUS
• Designing and implementing cable infrastructure for data centers and outside plant fiber
• Installing routers, switches, encryptors and patch panels in racks
• Inside plant fiber installation: data center fiber installation, telecom room to telecom room fiber installation
• Outside plant fiber installation: building to building fiber installation through manholes and handholes
• Coordinating with remote site POC’s to plan, design, and schedule equipment and infrastructure installation
• Coordinating with remote COMSEC custodians to ensure keymat is ordered and deployment of COMSEC devices
