Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a Network Infrastructure Specialist to upgrade WAN equipment and fiber infrastructure at remote locations CONUS and OCONUS. You will work with network engineers to establish layer 1-3 connectivity and install routers, switches, encryptors, and patch panels in racks.

You’ll perform both inside and outside plant fiber installations across data centers and buildings, coordinating with site POCs and COMSEC custodians to ensure timely, compliant deployments.

Qualifications

• Six+ years experience with copper cabling and fiber installation.
• CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN with layer 1 troubleshooting.
• Six+ years experience with copper and fiber infrastructure tasks.
• Experience with data center fiber and outside plant installations.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade WAN equipment and fiber infrastructure at remote locations (CONUS and OCONUS).
• Design and implement cable infrastructure for data centers and outside plant fiber.
• Collaborate with network engineers to establish layer 1-3 connectivity.
• Install routers, switches, encryptors and patch panels in racks.
• Perform inside and outside plant fiber installations across sites.
• Coordinate with site coordinators and COMSEC custodians for timely installations.
• Create/update cable diagrams before and after installations.
